Experience
James provides corporate consulting and estate planning services to many of the firm’s high net worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses. As the head of the firm’s estate planning and probate practice, James advises these individuals and families with respect to income and estate tax planning, multi-generational tax planning, and tax related charitable planning. He also provides tax and business consulting services to privately held businesses in numerous industries, including the non-profit sector.Prior to co-founding Maselan & Jones, P.C., James was a tax attorney at a Big Four accounting firm, and then worked as a senior tax attorney in a mid-size corporate law firm.James has served as a faculty member at several for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, and frequently lectures to business owners, and investment and insurance professionals. He was named a Massachusetts “Super Lawyer” in 2005, 2006 and 2007. In addition, he holds the highest (AV) rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
